When the Small Games Attack

Ok none of us takes a game seriously when it only takes something like 60-300MB to install.Specially when they compare with the modern monster games that require up to 12GB of hard disk space(as seen by my earlier post).However it is not only about hard disk space "monster games" like the popular pc game Crysis set the bench-mark in 3d acceleration.What gamers consider when playing a game like crysis is now not only a smooth game playing experience but also factors like frame rate,Screen resolution,and maximum detail possible.
However today we also occasionally come across games which are not about extreme graphics,gore or pushing your rig to its limits.These are games that are purely about gameplay.Many new games some times lack this.Developers get so engrossed in devolving storyline and streamlining game engines that they loose site of the ultimate purpose of gaming.i.e-creating an enjoyable gaming experience.
Anyway enough of my ranting now to the purpose of this topic.I would like to introduce you to two games which while being small in size kick ass in content.

World of Goo

From time to time I come across a game which is so awesome that I go raving about it to every person I know.This is one such game.The concept of the game is simplicity its self.Basically the player is given a number of balls of goo(which I understand to be crude oil???)which can be joined together in various different fashions in order to navigate to a given goal.It is as simple as that(well maybe a bit more complicated but that's gist of it).Check it out-

The Maw

Ok first of all this is a kids game so the plot and the characters in it may seem a bit kiddy.The game is quite straight forward.basically you are an alien leading another alien(Maw.His pet???)through a series of challengers.Here the interesting part of the game is that the main task of your character is to feed the maw,who eats a variety of small creatures which give the maw super powers try it out.
